Have a look at these slides about linkers: slideshare.net/kesbu/contrast-linkers-17226445 These are perfect for IELTS band 5+. A band 5 student should be able to use a few but probably with errors. A band 6 student will know more and have better accuracy. A band 7 student will show a good range of linkers but make mistakes with hard ones. A band 8 student will have a very good range of linkers and only make a few mistakes. Which band are you?
