Have been researching Flu Vaccine alternatives for those of us who are over 65 or over. It appears to b a mixed bag on opting for the high dosage (so called "Fluzone versus the conventual vaccine. CDC does not take a position on which vaccine for which to opt. The capsule summary of todays research suggest taking the conventual vaccine. CDC has not taken a position on which vaccine for which to opt. They say they have not done the testing to determine the weighting of Fluzone versus the conventual product for persons 65 or older. CDC does emphasize the importance of the geriatric group (65 and over) getting inoculation, but again they do not opt between the Fluzone versus the lower dosage vaccine. Any thoughts?
