Have had a run in with the post man today . My girl Misty is very vocal and when I take her out on the front lawn she always barks a few times to say, hay look at me out on my lawn, or words to that affect.! I had to go to hospital at lunch time and so took my girl out on my lawn for a wee before I left She rushed out with her normal lively bark only to be greeted by the post man shouting a load of abuse at me and then hitting out with a parcel he had in his hand . I must add he was at the house next door and she was no were near him. I grabbed her collar straight away at the first bark and tried to carry on down my lawn , but he kept getting in my face so she kept barking at him and he kept shouting abuse at me. When I came back from the hospital I went down to the post office sorting office and spoke to the boss , whom said, he had been told about the incident and was very nice about it all when I explained what had happened , he said he would speak to the post man. Must say the post man really needs help , as he hates dogs , think may be he needs to change his job. The thing I wanted to know is am I wrong in not training her not to get excited ??? She is nine now and I do not think I am in the wrong.??
