Have had the worst day house/cabin hunting. No one told me people who build cabins build them in the middle of gosh stinkin nowhere back roads and with no traffic. This snow is killing me and nothing has been replowed. Granted I live in the middle of nowhere but there is a road that people take up my driveway that eve tidally Ill see someone. GPS led me in all sorts of direction because owners would rather you look at the outside first before they meet you yet they dont put any gosh dang numbers on anything. Day started off good and got worse as it progressed and I seemed to find myself in ditches yet again not to mention the fact that I was driving the truck which slides way more than my SUV and I couldnt stop for the stop sign on Ballaine so some guy speeding down I was beeping like crazy because he was going to hit me and instead of slowing down he tried to keep his speed and go to the other side in which I then slid to and then another oncoming car and I almost hit. Then after getting stuck and thank god someone saw me, btw youll never believe who it was (Christopher Ascenio, Nina Rohrback-Jeff) then I got stuck literally with not a sole in site because nothing pulls up accurately on the GPS out here and it will lead you to non existing roads and in the middle of the woods with nowhere to turn around! I have never had to drive backwards as much as I did today. Poor Nakita would jump up everytime I got stuck, I think shes traumatized ;-( Did I mention most of the roads dont actually have street signs and you NEED 4WD for just about all of them. I swear I feel like Im going to say screw it and stay at this ridiculous place or get a dang studio downtown, and I hate the city! Thats about how much Im done with AK right now, or this damn winter, who knows I just know I want to go the heck away.
