Have just witnessed an appalling act of parenting. Whilst eating lunch in the local marina canteen a mother instructed her daughter to place the contents of the bread basket in her backpack. When the mother saw me looking and observing, the mother told the daughter to turn with her back to me so I could not see what the daughter was doing. So, teaching a child to steal and be sneaky! In any case, the mother could have at least a months hibernation not eating and still come out with plenty in inbuilt insulation. Poverty is not an issue or an excuse here as you need money to own a boat and travel. So no excuse for sneakily stealing bread! Fortunately Simon understood the language they were speaking but the act did not need interpreting. Lock your boats people, the thieves are being trained younger these days. If you are wondering the nationality - the D-Day invasion fleet landed in this country. Congratulations to parents that are teaching their precious charges higher standards than this!
