Have not seen Kochadaiyan yet. Majority said that the movie is good and some said the truth. For me after seeing the trailer, I was not impressed at all. The same irritated feeling when i saw Dasavatharam. I would not blame Rajini, KS Ravikumaar nor ARR for this mishap. Its Soundarya Rajinikanth who does not have the ability to pull off such a big massive project despite being a CEO of a CGI farm. Kamalhaasan who being a all rounder himself was too over confident for his Dasavatharam and all CGI turned out to be disastrous. Special Effects, CGI is a league on its own. Avatar and Tintin was made using the motion capture filming techniques and making reference to such hits to Kochadaiyan is seriously a marketing flick went majorly wrong. Yes some would say its the first movie and we should support it. How many of you all have supported movies like Onaiyum Kullanariyum. A movie which is totally different from the norms. And sure it deserves a standing ovation. Not a movie (Kochadaiyan) which has all the means to hit the highest benchmark. Kochadaiyan had the highest production float, the biggest stars of India, a top notched commercial director, 2 times Oscar Winner ARR, and of coz the dancing beauties. And Soundarya just took everyone, especially the mass for a ride. I would never give it to her. Tv seriels like Mahabaratham, Ra-One could deliver good CGI and why not a movie produced by one of the richest production house in India-Eros deliver atleast an entry-level. I take pride in Indian Cinema and that too Tamil Cinema and that too, a movie of my Idol Rajinikanth. Movies like Maattraan too suffered the same fate in poor CGI. One needs the ability to extract good work from Hollywood, and if you cant, then stay put with India CGI artiste. They are decent enough to produce world standards. Well i can only give a pat on Soundarya to have made Kochadaiyan to surpass Dasavatham in worst CGI. Sambo Mahadeva...;)
