Have we as a society gotten so busy that we fail to see those around us who are struggling? Today as I drove to Makkiahs concert I passed an elderly couple, pushing their walkers uphill in the pouring down rain. The older lady paused as she put her head on her walker as I passed by. In my mind I thought that could be my grandparents or parents and I would hope that someone would offer to help them. My conscience wouldnt let me continue so I turned around and offered them a ride. They had walked down to the farmers market and got caught in the rain. 90 years old, soaking wet with a bad hip and all she could think about was not getting my van wet! Sweetest couple though and I wasnt a bit worried about the van getting wet (sorry Mom, itll be dry before you get home) How many people just drove past them without a second thought? How many didnt see them at all? Sometimes in the busy of life we need to slow down and see those around us. You might just be that little bit of blessing that someone needs
