Have you ever aspirated? Well, I did at 4:30 this morning and I thought I was going to die. My hubby has done this and I always try to calm him down so that he can catch his breath. However, I couldnt get anybody to hear me. So, I slowed my breathing down and boom, I was able to inhale and exhale eventually on my own. Then, the acid was in my throat for what seemed to be a lifetime! I sat up for about an hour in my chair before I could finally go back to bed.......exhausted. Ive had a productive cough for most of the day. Did you know that you can get pulmonary pneumonia from aspirating? Im keeping my fingers crossed, but most of all, I am so glad my number wasnt up during the time I had aspirated! Scary stuff.
