Have you ever had an amazing nights sleep? Felt the safety and comfort of your covers and sheets as you laid and awaited a secured well deserved rest? Last night more than 5 Million people experienced that for the very first time. They finally slept knowing that they would wake up surrounded by the people they loved most. This is monumental, this is just, this is the beginning. These 5 Million along with DACA recipients and other groups, are no longer undocumented, but are now under-documented. Meaning depending on the state they live in, they may have limited access to universal services and rights. Mainly access to health care and in the case of egregiously discriminatory states, (Nebraska, Arizona) the ability to receive a drivers licences. Theyre in policy limbo, and thus in the purgatory of second class citizenry. Most of these holes can be fixed rather quickly by State legislators, if we and only if we pay attention, put pressure on them, and of course, vote. Virginia: Senate and General Assembly elections are this year, and there is so much on the line. From these issues, to the vital expansion of Medicaid, which the lack of is literally killing people. If we want to really live in a society that upholds the values we claim to hold dear as Americans, we should support those that make those a reality. That means making sure no one in this country is ever living in the shadows of second class citizenry. #GrandeObama #BigObama
