Have you ever known people like me who made promises they didnt keep? Maybe they said they would call, but didnt. Perhaps they promised a lunch together or a movie, then simply got busy and forgot. Its frustrating, isnt it? A person like that is hard to trust. And when you have to work with someone who doesnt follow through, it can be even more frustrating. How wonderful that God never forgets His promises. If He says it, He means it. And if ahe means it, He does it. Talk about keeping your word! God is the very epitome of trustworthiness. Remember that you are created in Gods image, and Hes all about honesty. So, pray before making commitments; then do what you have said you would do. And when the Lord speaks into your life, giving you instruction- like ministering to someone in need or spending more time in the Word- better get to it. Be a person of your word- both to people and the Lord.
