Have you ever made a mistake or regretted something that you said or did? Have ever had an embarrassing moment? I mean the kind of embarrassment that makes you just want to curl up in a ball and die! lol (I actually had a moment like that earlier this week) lol. Should I even ask? We have all been there one time or another. Regret, shame, guilt, mistakes, failure and embarrassment all seem to have a special way of making us feel lower than the dust and less than the value God has placed on us. To make matters worse, it seems like at those times when we feel at our lowest point the enemy wants bring us even lower by making us constantly rehearse our downfalls. Sometimes he may even go as far as showing us how our mistakes will drastically affect our future in such a negative way that even God cant even fix it. To all of you who can relate to this in any way I have a word of encouragement for you. God knows everything about you. The good, the bad, and the ugly. . . and guess what?. . . He has a wonderful plan and purpose for your life in spite of it all. Sometimes its our regrets, shame, guilt, mistakes, failures and embarrassing moments that make us humble ourselves to the point where we see that we are nothing without God. It is in those moments we cling to God the most. What I love most of all is that its those very moments that make the beauty in our testimony. 1 Corinthians 1:27 says, But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God takes the clay of our mistakes and imperfections and molds them into a masterpiece. He does this so that The Potter will get the glory and not the clay. So the next time your regrets, shame, guilt, mistakes, failures and embarrassing moments get you down just remember that God is molding you into a masterpiece for His glory.
