Have you ever seen how they train an animal like a horse or an elephant to stay on its leash? First they tie it to a large tree, then to a smaller and smaller one. Eventually they can tie it to a tiny post and the animal will still think it can not move freely. We live in an abundant world where there is enough food and water and shelter for every human being and more. Scarcity and fear are being used to keep us from working with each other instead of against each other. The shackles, the leashes are in our minds. It is the group acceptance of scarcity and danger that keeps us tied to the post of the idea that we must all work jobs we dislike or even hate because that is just how the world is. We think some will be very rich and others very desperately poor and the rest shall struggle every day in despair while only a few enjoy their meaningful careers and that is how life must be. We tell ourselves these stories, fairy tales about become rich and famous one day on the TV. We live vicariously through the heros we depict in blockbuster movies so we can live with our dull difficult unfulfilling lives. We need to free ourselves and each other before we can have a fair and free world. So to do that I have decided to and committed to share hope, to share love, to share courage in order to pierce the fog of fear and despair so we can see our common and beautiful humanity. I do this in my life in small ways that plant seeds of caring and compassion and I share these new stories with my friends. Until we accept a new story of abundance and sharing and caring and limitless abundance we will remain tied to the post living the story others have written for us instead of ones we write for ourselves. So find the most love you can my friends, reach into yourself and find courage and then share these things with everyone you can. The more you share the more you have and you will need all the love and courage you can get.
