Have you ever struggled and wondered when it will end? Being a person of faith, I always trust things will work out and they always do. Along those rough roads I always look for signs that tell me things are all right. Sometimes I find it in a song, a sunset, or in the comfort of friends. Lately Ive had a struggle and wondered, when will this struggle end. Bear with me a second and Ill tell you about my hibiscus tree. My tree had been with me for about 25 years and weve literally weathering many storms together. It was given to me by a good friend as a house warming present. During its first few years it bloomed beautiful large red flowers, then it stopped blooming. I checked with florists and was told to move it to a different spot, change watering routines and fertilize more, but it never flowered again. However, it always grew and grew and looked awesome just no flowers. Last year, I put it outside for the summer as I usually did and unfortunately left it exposed to a frost. The poor tree almost died! I cut it way back and sure enough it prospered once again. This season I made sure I brought it in before the frost. Its a heavy tree so its a struggle to move, branches brush up on doorways and it looses many leaves in the process. I looked at it last night and it had many yellow leaves due to the move and some had already fallen to the floor. I reflected on all its struggles and how it always pulls through. This morning it bloomed again! I guess we can never give up...
