Have you ever wondered ... HOW DOES YOUR BODY BREAK DOWN FAT Harnessing energy by burning fat is referred to as: Ketosis To remove the fat to use as energy, the body empties the fat cell. Technically, the fat in the cells are triglycerides. Once removed, enzymes break down the triglycerides into two components. GLYCEROL & 3 CHAIN FATTY ACIDS. The liver, kidneys & muscles absorb the glycerol & fatty acids to produce energy, heat, water & carbon dioxide. Waste products from the breakdown are excreted by the body through urine, expiration & sweat. The usable portion of the fat is transferred into energy & the unusable portion leaves the body as waste. Now that the body has relieved the fat cells of some glycerol & fatty acids, the fat cells get smaller. IE: YOU GET SMALLER... :) B XX
