Have you ever wondered how Moses knew what happened at creation - TopicsExpress

Have you ever wondered how Moses knew what happened at creation since he obviously wasnt yet alive? I know in years past I used to ponder that question. There is so much teaching in our school systems on the subject of evolution. It is taught as fact rather than someones theory. It goes to show how powerful words are. But that is a subject for another day. Today our focus is on the creation account and its origin. Moses is credited for writing the first five books of the Bible called the Pentateuch. Since we have already established that Moses did not live during the time of creation, how did he know what happened? Here is a clue. :) Exodus 33:8 When Moses went out to the tent of meeting, all the people rose and stood, every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses until he had gone into the tent. 9 When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tent, and the Lord would talk with Moses. 11(a) And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. It is clear the Lord Himself told Moses how He created the world. He received the facts straight from the Creator Himself. This scripture text shows us that He had many such meetings with Father God, face to face. There were times Moses had to cover his face because the glory of the Lord showed in His face. Exodus 34:34 But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he took the veil off until he came out. And he came out and told the Israelites what he was commanded. 35 The Israelites saw the face of Moses, how the skin of it shone; and Moses put the veil on his face again until he went in to speak with God. I love how Father God never leaves a single doubt about anything concerning Himself. He does this so we can know with certainty that He can be trusted. Jesus did something similar when he appeared to the two men on their way to Emmaus. They told the stranger about all the things that had happened to Jesus in Jerusalem. Then He said this: Luke 24:25 (NRSV) Then he said to them, Oh, how foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared! Luke 24:26 (NRSV) Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory? Luke 24:27 (NRSV) Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures. He did this for our sake as well, so that we would be able to know He was the Messiah by looking into the scriptures, rather than having to see it with our eyes. This way of doing things gives us confidence especially when we are going through things. We can see how He has helped others in the past and know He will help us as well. He never changes. So we can be quick of heart to believe Him.
