Have you noticed large passenger jets flying over our South - TopicsExpress

Have you noticed large passenger jets flying over our South Phoenix & Laveen neighborhoods recently? Are you ok with this permanent change? Would you have purchased or moved here with all these passenger jets flying overhead now? Everyone needs to get involved because this is a serious change that affects your home values and will ultimately change the face of our community. The FAA made these changes on September 18th 2014 in the name of “Safety, efficiency and the environment.” How is having passenger jets taking off full throttle over our homes pushing tons of pollution into our air achieve any of these goals? I think that we are getting robbed financially by the FAA by the reduction of our home values, and pollution of our skies, both by noise and chemicals. Who benefits? The FAA, Sky Harbor, The Airlines all save money at our expense. Are you ok with that? As one voice we are strong, but if nobody speaks out or complains they have won the battle. Please everyone call these numbers and leave voice messages about your dissatisfaction with the noise and how they have taken our quiet sky’s away from us are robbing our home values. Please send a letter to the e-mail below telling the FAA they need to reconsider their decision because it affects thousands of people in our community. We also need to contact the local news channels to help this concern be voiced. Please pass along this message. This type of battle has been fought before in other cities, and the FAA can be sued in a class action law suit if we can organize and rally our efforts to voice our concerns. community.seattletimes.nwsource/archive/?date=19901212&slug=1109122 FAA Changes for Aircraft Departures from Phoenix Sky Harbor On September 18, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) streamlined departure routes of aircraft from Phoenix Sky Harbor. This was the latest step in the FAAs implementation of satellite-based procedures, designed to enhance safety and efficiency of air traffic, while providing environmental benefits to communities across the United States. As part of this system, arrivals into Sky Harbor were streamlined in 2006. While the FAA controls the national airspace and aircraft routing for Sky Harbor, citizens who have questions about the new departure procedures may call the Sky Harbor Noise Information Office at 602-683-2669. The Noise Information Office will also forward specific concerns to FAA officials. Residents who would like to contact the FAA directly may call 202-267-3521 or email [email protected]. skyharbor/FAAChangesAircraftDeparture.html
