Have you seen many Ghost Fleets: on the Bay? Check out this article by Chesapeake Bay Journal An osprey pair raises its family aboard the wreck of a wooden ship whose remains lie at Mallows Bay along the Potomac River. Many of the vessels in this “ship graveyard” were built for U.S. forces in World War I but saw little action. After failed salvage operations by private companies, the ships were left to deteriorate.
