Have you watched this? I will check it out at some point. It is the other side of the Dark Girls video that aired last year. Since I come from an immediate family with light and dark skinned people and I am in the middle, I always found it interesting how people define by complexion and what baggage or benefit they feel comes with it.I didnt feel colorism from my parents but I did from others. I have lived in California and Colorado. My skin is much darker in California due to the ongoing sunshine and hot temperatures. But, I am the same person and I feel the same. I dont know where the line is between dark and light but I know I crossed it when this guy I was dating told me to stop going outside so I wont get darker. I thought GTHFOH. Youre why God invented vibrators. Unbelievable. But, that has only happened once. I believe colorism is real (based on data) but even in this documentary some of the middle complexion women self describe as light while society would say they are dark. That is just giving credence to he fact that light/dark colorism is stupid and arbitrary. youtube/watch?v=IzxJql1roLk
