Have you wondered how clamorous, hurried and raucous society as a whole is? Our own mental state is more often reflecting the same state as society around us. Is it by design? I John 5:19 states... We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one. Amplified What are we to conclude regarding these tactics of our enemy? Perhaps this is why the Scriptures always points to calm. Wait upon the Lord. I will keep him in perfect PEACE whose mind is stayed on Me. The peace of God shall garrison your heart and mind. He leads me beside STILL waters. Let the PEACE of God UMPIRE in your hearts! Be anxious for NOTHING. Stand STILL and see the salvation of the Lord. It goes on and on. The world is making a cacophony of noise designed to distract and occupy your mind (you are less likely to HEAR His voice in the midst of all the noise) Remember the words of Issiah 30:15 15 For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, What are we to conclude by this sharp contrast? I met a Sister in the Lord a while back. She came to one of our home meetings. The Lord was present and there was revelation in some of the Saints there. This Sister stayed after the meeting to talk. She said she has been in Christ for about forty years! Forty years! She was filled with anxiety. Her thoughts were racing. She jumped from one subject to another. Her attention span was about 5 seconds long. She put me in the mind of a runner. She spent forty-five minutes communicating and saying nothing. Can her faith save her? No it cannot. Why? Because she does not KNOW Him! How can I say that? Because the outcome of her forty years has not produced what the scriptures declare should be our mindset (transforming or metamorphorsizing of our minds into the mind of Christ. Her state of mind was more a reflection of the world than the presence of Christ. Something we should all become mindful of and pray.
