Havent made an introduction in a while. So to start, my name is Jay, I admin here. I post a lot of stuff about Jesus and his teachings on here. Not because I am a christian, but because I am an atheist that is fed up with the bullshit coming out of the christian right. Dont get me wrong, but I am not bashing Christians. I have a lot of christian friends and family and I try to respect their opinion in their religious beliefs just as I would try to respect those of anyone else. So I respectfully point out verses, like the ones Jesus is doing the talking, to point out the hypocrisy of these conservative Christians as they do everything against the teachings of their own savior. I grew up in a conservative christian home and even married the preachers daughter. I was into my religion and proselytized to strangers and I knew conservative Christianity well. I still have the teachings of Jesus branded into me, but now I look at them as stories. Stories that people do relate to, especially if you take out all the supernatural elements, but people relate with Star Wars or Harry Potter, so what does it matter what the story is about, I believe however that I should not have to live by someones religion being in my government and neither should anyone here or anywhere. Have your religion, just keep it away from my government... and the corporation I work for too...
