Having a great time in LA! Games Sound Con was inspiring..met a lot of other composers, and my head is filled with steps I need to take to up the ante in music. LA has a lot of crazy health nuts, so Ive been enjoying a strange assortment of green shakes and extreme vegan fare. On the food tip, I dropped by the Grand Central Market and experienced something akin to a Mexican Plaza crossed with a Hipster popup food Mecca. Little Tokyo was charming and a little theme-park like, but full of delicious and fun shops. As for a good espresso, Intelligentsia coffee here is amazing..and all the best baristas are sporting suspenders (more than Ive ever seen in one location). Highly recommend Air BnB...Im staying in a shmancy building for a fraction of the cost of a hotel around here. Also public transport is less than perfect..but Im getting around...a lot of walking..and crossing a lot of refreshingly interesting characters. Asian rockabilly, for example, is a scene around here.
