Having been enticed by a couple of friends into watching Alan - TopicsExpress

Having been enticed by a couple of friends into watching Alan Davies As Yet Untitled (you were so right its fantastic) I finally got to bed at around 2 am - On a school night disgusting I know :( At 4.30 am I was woken by what I thought was thunder, as I lay there waiting for the rumbling to end I suddenly became aware that the continued rumbling, dragging and huffing was certainly not down to weather conditions. I have an unhealthy obsession with my solar power kit as I had the panels stolen a few years ago so I dashed out of bed, grabbed my million candle power torch and a handy implement that could be used for pointing out peoples wrong doings from a distance ;) and ran outside. I ran the torch beam over the panels, all fine there and my dogs werent in attack mode in fact they hadnt really woken up they were just strolling around the patio eating stray biscuits. Then I heard the dragging and puffing noise again but up the track towards the road, ah ha! I ran up the drive way and discovered Daisy my Mastin taking 40 metres of polyurethane water pipe for a walk?!! The rumbling had been her getting it out of the boiler room and dragging it through the corral, she isnt the quietest of dogs on a good day and very clumsy in the paw department. She had staged a protest when Id put it in the boiler room a few weeks ago, not that it was in her way or prevented her, Lindo and the two monster pups going to bed - Daisy takes umbrage to certain things strawberries, a sink plunger and a chap in a red van that works in the local fields, she really doesnt like him. Once Id discovered that it wasnt a solar power bandit I thought Id watch to see where she was going to take the pipe, fully expecting her to get fed up and leave it on the track and go back to bed.No! She dragged it all the way to the main road about 300m away and to the edge of one of the many boreholes in the area!!! At this point I interrupted her chore and grabbed the end as she was lining up to chuck it down the hole!!!!! I dread to think what shes disposed of over the years, it probably explains where several door mats, towels from the washing line (she doesnt like anything that flaps), a sack of olives left by a neighbour & countless bloody solar path lights have gone. Needless to say the pipe is now in the workshop under lock and key, shes bright but her paws are far to big to pick a lock.
