Having first-hand had to help my son with his new math, seeing simple addition turned into joining sentences, and watching him have difficulty in understanding the 5 different ways one can describe 5+4 with weird boxes and pictures, I agree this is stupid as shit. His homework consist of 1 page with only 4 questions, each a different and confusing way of showing very simple addition. How about a page full of, you know, math problems. All done the same way. All so he can learn addition, not to decipher how each specific joining sentence wants him to draw five cats in a box or some such bullshit. Its like its intended for the student not to get it.
