Having found tadpoles in our pond after Bubblehead the goldfish - TopicsExpress

Having found tadpoles in our pond after Bubblehead the goldfish committed seppuku, Monkey and I began to fret that they were cane toad tadpoles (toadpoles). We spent a significant amount of time online, poring through tadpole identification charts and wondering what we would do if we discovered that they were, in fact, toadpoles (put Lionheart the goldfish, who usually lives in the other pond, in to eat them). Over the past few nights, weve heard a brawk-brawk-brawk by the pond; I assumed it was the cane toad who sometimes visits. As Monkey was up later than usual, we grabbed the blackout torch, slipped on our thongs and went out to see. We had the privilege of witnessing this devoted father watching over his beautiful little greenish babies. Does anyone recognise him?
