Having received the final vote counts from Rockland and Hanover, and with assurances that every vote has now been counted, we can now be confident in the election outcome. As a result and with a heavy heart, I have called David DeCoste to concede the race for the 5th Plymouth District. I am disappointed in the outcome but proud of the positive, issue-oriented campaign we ran, particularly in the face of such excessive spending from outside interest groups. I want to thank my incredible team of volunteers and staff who worked so hard on our behalf. My family and I feel blessed at the outpouring of support that we have received during the campaign, and especially in the days following the election. I am proud of the work that my late husband and I have done for the towns of Hanover, Norwell and Rockland over the past 16 years, and I look forward to continuing to find ways to support the community and its residents in the years ahead.
