Having shaved a spot off the 575 yard record last Saturday, Martin Fahy’s Mall Brandy will set about the 600 mark when he contests the Billy Mulvany Snr & Jnr Memorial 600 which is due to commence at Shelbourne on Saturday. The 24 dog event, with a winner’s prize of €7,500, will close to entries today but only a small number of entries had been received by yesterday afternoon. Leading the list was Mall Brandy but other high profile runners included Monleek Force, Melodys Gamble, Airlie Dazzler and Highview Beauty. Entries should be phoned to Derek Frehill who is in charge with Declan Carey now on holidays.
