Having spent a long time at an air maintained post even busy schedule could not keep me away from occasional bouts of depression and isolation. To keep spirits up, I developed the habit of getting into conversation almost to an art form with my gorkha boys. My two small rakshi( rum) peg in the evening and some gup- shup with my buddy, Rifleman Tek Bahadur were what I looked forward to most. One such evening, I was offered rakshi by Tek Bahadur while I sat watching silsila starring Amitabh Bachhan. I was really impressed with soul searching dialogues of Amitabh and his mashooqua(Rekha). To make some conversation, I thought of judging the urdu vocabulary of my buddy Tek Bahadur and asked him as to what he understood by the word mashooqa. To my amusement, Rifleman Tek Bahadur answered very confidently, saab katta khane masu, helicopter ta dherai din bhayo aako chhaina. ( saab kahan se khayen masu (meat),bhaut din ho gaye chopper tou aaya hi nahin).
