Having stated my clear conviction that this country - now alone - has the moral and self-interest responsibility to strike Syria, I have been stunned to read responses from people who, on the Facebook surface, seem to be nice middle American mothers and grandmothers, expressing racial, ethnic and religious hatred for "those people" in the Middle East. Including some who are certain the photos and videos of children gassed by the regime are not real..
