Having visited the D-Day beaches a few years ago, other the sites such as the American cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach and St Mare Eglise, todays 70th anniversary of the landings brings it home to all of us who were born after the war. just how much we ALL owe the veterans and those thousands of allied soldiers sailors and airmen who lost their lives fighting and ultimately destroying Hitlers Nazi regime ... May we never forget, be eternally grateful, or fail to be humbled by what happened on 6th June 1944 in Normandy ....
