Having your home inspected is the first step to knowing your air quality. Indoor Air Services provides a comprehensive inspection and report to identify potential mold problems. We also offer a Mold Clearance Certification for properties that pass an inspection or have successfully taken steps to remediation if an issue is identified. Inspection features: Interior and Exterior Inspection: Property grading (specifically negative grade), vegetative growth, downspouts and damp substrate. Damp or moldy substrate will be tested for moisture content. Heating and Cooling Inspection: Filter, Return Air Box, Condensation Drain, Pump Lines, Humidifier, Ducts and Vents. Basement or Crawl Space Inspection: Focus on leaking tub or shower pan, valves, drain pipes and ventilation. Damp or moldy substrate under the building will be tested for moisture content. Main Living Area Inspection: Focus on areas under cabinets and in closets. With special focus on the kitchen, bathroom and or laundry areas. Attic Inspections: We inspect for elevated moisture levels and possible mold activity due to poor venting, disconnected bathroom vent or leaking roof. Air Sampling: Air samples are collected to acquire a mold spore count in the air. We offer vacuum, bulk and tape sampling to assure accurate readings. Samples are shipped to an independent accredited lab for analysis and findings are provided in our in-depth report. If a mold problem is found, air sampling may be required after remediation to assure mold levels have been corrected.
