Hazardous Weather Alert from National Weather Service Today: Thunderstorms are possible northwest of an Amarillo to Canadian line late this afternoon and evening. The strongest storm could produce gusty winds up to 45 mph, especially west of a Guymon to Boys Ranch line between 5-9 pm. A very small chance for additional thunderstorms is possible after 12 am east of a Beaver to Claude line, but no strong or severe storms are expected. Looking Ahead: Thunderstorms are also possible across most of the area Wednesday afternoon through Friday. Any thunderstorms that develop could be strong to marginally severe with damaging winds and large hail. However, widespread severe weather is not expected. Heavy rain could lead to localized flash flooding Thursday afternoon through Friday. Elevated to briefly critical fire weather conditions are possible across the western Panhandles Sunday. Critical fire weather conditions are likely across most for the Panhandles Monday and Tuesday. Elevated to briefly critical fire weather conditions are possible across the northwestern Panhandles Wednesday.
