He came to us on a snowy night, left in an outside dog run with his buddy, BUDDY. They had porcupine quills in their muzzles. Public outcry ensued. Donations came in to cover the cost of their treatments. BUDDY had a bit of ringworm which closed the shelter for 9 weeks. BUDDY, in the meantime, cleaned and ringworm-free, went home weeks ago. MAGNUM remained. A long-distance donor in Ohio has been in close contact regarding dear MAGNUM. She has sent donations of stamps, dog and cat toys, and cash. Concerned that MAGNUM would languish here in the shelter, she sent enough money to cover the cost of his adoption. This past Thursday, a very nice woman came in to meet MAGNUM and fell in love. She wanted to adopt him, but said she would have to wait for two weeks until her paycheck came in. When she was told that MAGNUMs adoption fee had been paid in full, she burst into tears. She came in on Friday to pick up her boy. Here are the pictures of this happy day. We love this story.
