He didnt do everything he said he wanted to do, but that required a Congress that would work with him. Nonetheless, he still managed to do some pretty cool things for Indian country as well. He settled scores of trust lawsuits filed by tribes to the tune of billions of dollars, settled Cobell for a few billion more, Reauthorization of the Indian health care improvement act, Put more land into trust for tribes than any presidency, and invited tribal leadership into a historic Nation to Nation annual meeting between Tribal Nations and the White House. A historic record by any standard, even though we could use some help in energy development in oil and gas leasing.
