He finished his speech by saying that people always ask him what he did to make Malala into such a strong warrior. He says its not what he did; its what he DIDNT do: I didnt clip her wings. Ive read a lot of bullshit lately about spirituality, Goddess power and the male/female dynamic. I wont comment about that other than people tend to rise no further than their own perceived limitations…potential is limitless once you begin to believe in your own power. We are all Gods if we choose to reflect the power that flows around us and channel that power for healing…ourselves, others and the planet. Ziauddin Yousafzai is one such god, just as his daughter Malala is another. Their spirituality is plain to see. Ziauddin Yousafzai is the sort of man I respect. His heart, bravery and capacity for love is simply inspirational. His actions have helped to further the healing process of this planet and this culture Malala is a woman I admire. Her bravery and intellectual capacity has assisted in the process that her father began. She has paid a very high price for those actions. I ask every one, of every gender and permutation of gender whos wings have you clipped today? What act of courage and bravery have you committed this week. Are you healing yourself and through that process healing others, or are you merely another who is part of the problem rather than a part of the solution.
