He had finally begun to love the droplets of water that poured on him as the clouds collided with each other. For everyone around him, it was hard to believe that a person who once scorned rain was in love with it now. No one knew the reason though. Nor did he. Standing at the jetty, he looked at the water flowing ferociously, like it was furious at the people who had polluted it in their own ways. He smiled. He told his friend how good the day had been for him. A girl he once stalked had not only liked his stories, but also sent him a request and a message. Another girl he had a crush on long before this day, had exchanged numbers with him. And add on to that, he had topped his batch in the semester exams. There was no bound to his happiness. The day cant get any better, he told his friend. Just as he said that, he slipped off the jetty and fell into the river.
