He has to go down as Indias greatest cricketer .Anyone who is second to him, is a long way behind -no matter whether you call him a god ,or anything else .Having watched and played cricket all my life ,let me assure you that my judgement is not based on euphoria just because India won a cliff hanger yesterday .His sheer capability of winning matches for India ,his composure and decency ,his courage to stand for what he thinks is right ,and his intuitive and intelligence skills make him a outstanding sportsman .No match is lost till he is there .He is capable of hitting 6 sixes in a over to win it for India .So yesterday when he smashed 16 runs in the last over -it was familiar stuff .The genius was out there displaying his merchandise -the man of the hour ,the man of the day ,the man of the year and a man of history .Well done MS Dhoni .I thought that i had seen the greatest of them all when i use to see Bishen Bedi roll his arm over (as if they were on well oiled ball bearings -uff so beautiful was his action!!),or Sunny Gavaskar (i certainly rate him higher than Sacchin -he palyed the fastest without a helmet ),Sacchin ,Vishwanath ,Tiger Patuadi (no one can field better than him even today with two eyes -he did it with one eye .The first one to introduce the "slide" while fielding on the rough Indian fields ) and many others .But Dhoni ........top of the top!!
