He is a hero.. Most ungrateful Nigerians who throw dagger of insults and abusive words at formal Super Eagles Coach should have a rethink. They say, he is proud, arrogant and sentimental. They say, he is full of himself and would not take other peoples advice as if he was employed to take other peoples opinion. The Question I have for you is.. you, yes, I mean you that is pointing finger... What have you done for this country your homeland? What have you done to project the image of this country? What impact, have you made in your own home, community talkless of this nation as a whole? Anyhow you see it, Keshi had put smiles on the face of majority of Nigerians both old and young, educated and illiterate, rich and poor by coaching eagle to victory. Yes, maybe, Stephen Keshi is proud but if he is proud. Shouldnt he be proud of his little achievement? But the funniest thing is, people that are asking for keshis head were the same people that were singing his praise before. They once say, if not Keshi nobody else is fit to do the job. Now, what is Keshis sin. The tune has changed just like tidal daily changes. I have no any relationship with Keshi neither have I seen him before except on TV and newspapers. But I know he is a Nigerians Hero whether you accept it or not. The truth is, He has made his mark. He has written his name with a golden pen in the History of this Great Nation. He has achieved what no Nigerian coach has ever accomplished. He tried his best despite his flaws amidst great criticisms, opposition and challenges. Keshi did something that can never be forgotten for those with good memories. He was a great player in our National team between 1981 to 1995 and his massive contribution in 1994 Africa Cup of Nations which Nigeria won for the second time since 1957 when the tournament started. Infact, Keshi is one of the only two people along with Egypts Mahmound El-Gohary to have won the Africa Cup of Nations as both player and a coach. Now you, all you do is criticize and castigate others. But you never ask yourself. What would posterity says about you when you are long gone? Would your name be remembered as a patriotic citizen who defended and fight for a great cause of this nation? Would your future generation bless you or curse you for not making effort? What would history write pen down about you in this nation? You dont necessarily have to be a footballer or a coach to make a difference but there is something in you that can make do something for the benefit of this beautiful country. Someone says, it is easy to sit down and take notice or even criticize other but it is difficult to get up and take action irrespective of many challenges that plagued our country like a bee on a mans balls. Keshi has made his mark, No matter what, whether he is sacked or not, whether he is blamed or not, he is still one of Nigerias living Heroes.
