He is the genuine one--one and the only Sai. He had declared that even after entering mahasamadhi, he would continue to bless sincere devotees for 1000 years. Avadhoot Bhagwan Nityananda was his contemporary. Sai Baba would often tell his devotees to have darshan of Bhagwan Nityananda. And when devotees went to Bhagwan Nityananda, he would say: Sai ke paas kya kami hai jo is langoti wale ke paas bhej diyaa. Saying this, he would tell the devotees to go back to Sai. After Bhagwan Nityanandas mahasamadhi, the association between Ganeshpuri and Shirdi continued. The Sai Baba trust at Shirdi would always invite Swami Muktananda to Shirdi to lay foundation stones/inauguration, etc. It was Swami Muktananda who inaugurated the Delhi branch of Shirdi Shrine.
