He really hasnt done anything. An executive action carries no legal force. A court can overturn it and Congress can pass a law that changes it and that nullifies it. Of course during Obamas term, he would have to sign that law. What he has done is place these 3 to 5 million people in no mans land. They dont think they will be deported while Obama is President, but they wont get Green Cards and wont be on any path to citizenship, and there is no assurance that they wont be deported later. Obama cant legalize anyone and he hasnt. His action is another lie promising people what they wont get. What he has done is steal from Boehner the initiative on immigration reform. If any bill comes out of Congress it will be an Obama initiative, not a Republican one even if the Republicans pass it. Boehner may have had the votes to pass something in this Congress. I doubt he does any longer. Obama may have killed Republican amnesty. In that case, he has done no favor for the people he is claiming to help. Its just another Obama lie, all politics and no substance...
