He was declared dead twice - but Loki is more alive than ever! When I got Loki two years ago my vet diagnosed IL. He was then very thin and had hardly any fur left on his body. After more than a year of the Prednisolon therapy we had his illness IL under control but the cortisone caused its usual sincere side effects....his life had become mostly suffering. So the alternatives were either to put him down or to try a new medicine that former only has been used in human medicine. Thanks to my very committed vet Jana Czernutzky - Tierarztpraxis am Schloßpark Berlin, we did try this alternative to cortisone and it was successful! After a few weeks already Lokis fur grew back, his happy and active character finally became visible, the cortisone side effects disappeared. It is now like having a much younger and (almost) healthy dog! Today is Lokis ninth birthday and I hope I will have some more years together with him and the eleven-year old Tia.
