He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22) This Bible verse tends to fall on deaf ears, but is one of the most powerful verses written. A man that finds a good wife will be blessed with FAVOR. Favor is defined as an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. BUT he must also treat her according the Gods wishes... ...husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. (Ephesians 5:28-30) These Bible verses work together. But keep in mind, this is not just about marrying any woman, be wise and marry a good woman. One who also understands Gods desire for her... Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. (Ephesians 5:22-23) We often hear women scuff at the idea of being submissive to a man. But most women who understands the meaning behind this often misunderstood word, recognizes that should they come across a GOOD man who treats her well and is deserving of the head of the household title, then the idea of submitting is not so offensive. Once couples understands these concepts and starts to adhere to them...amazing things will start to happen to them. I have been witness to it! Remember...we cant just pick and choose what we want to believe about the Bible. If you believe in Gods Word, then you cant ignore these verses. #JS2TA
