Head of Community Management Remuneration: Basic salary Location: Johannesburg, Fourways Job level: Management (Snr - Executive, 5+ yrs) Job description Cerebra is an integrated strategic communications agency based in Design Quarter, Johannesburg. We are looking for an experienced Community Manager to head up our extremely talented team of Community Managers: •Minimum of five to six years experience as a Senior Community Manager •A degree/diploma in media communications, marketing, journalism. •Experience in managing at least two or three people in a team. (Managing your fantasy league doesnt count) •Advanced knowledge and understanding of online community platforms and their respective participants (Forums, Blogs, Photo Uploads, Profiling etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios. •Good knowledge and understanding of customer service principles. •Priorities deliverables and meet deadlines. •Excellent presentation skills with proven success in presenting ideas to clients. This excludes presenting to family. •Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. •Strong relationship management skills. •Self-motivated with a bias for action. •Flexible and adaptable. •Ability to work with a cross-functional team to deliver great work •Proven approach to problem solving. •The ability to think innovatively and generate ideas/solutions offering a range of options. •Strong project management skills. •Comprehension of web and social analytics (and understands the difference between a KPI and an outcome). •Ability to provide social media policy recommendations to clients, across all channels. •Ability to task/manage and provide strategic direction to technical teams. •Proficient at developing realistic-to-execute, yet creative ideas such as viral campaigns, influencer lists and community-driven content ideas. •Ability to upskill and train the Community Management team. •Team leader, with experience of managing potentially volatile situations, for days when the paw paw hits the fan; by paw paw we mean when the fit hits the shan. •Ability to motivate and inspire the Community Management team across all levels.
