Headaches - Acute/Chronic : Proper Diagnosis is Key AAAAI It is estimated that 70-80% of the North American population has headaches, with 50% experiencing at least one headache per month, 15% experiencing at least one weekly and 5% daily. Headaches with rhinitis (allergic or non-allergic) are common and may be due to inflammation of the nasal passages and sinuses. These types of headaches may be difficult to distinguish from other headaches attributable to infectious, allergic, vascular or neurologic causes. People who have recurring headaches should be carefully evaluated by a physician. Making the right diagnosis is important because other headache disorders such as migraines can require different treatments from those which can be helpful for rhinosinusitis. aaaai.org/conditions-and-treatments/library/allergy-library/allergy-sinus-headaches.aspx
