Headed out to watch the sun wake up at the top of an extremely rare geological phenomenon known as a ring dike, which overlooks all of the mountains in the area, with a man who just schooled me on Skateopia, aka 88 acres of anarchy (Google it - awesomeness). Apparently this volcano/mountain/ring dike is the best place to watch the sun rise in the lakes region, and its super close. Never would have known about this if I hadnt gotten the bar gig. Life is so funny sometimes :)
