Heading out for a long drive, I stopped at CCD for a hot chocolate. On my way out I observed an elderly gentle man standing near the bikes parked. When about to drive away I realised that he was trying to approach me. When I went to him and asked what he wants. His reply was - Thanks for stopping by young man. I have been standing here for an hour hesitating to ask for help. I stay in Chityal and came to the city for booking tickets for me and my wife to Tirupati and the brokers have eaten up all the money I bought. And I need to reach home ASAP as my darling is waiting for me. All this was in fluent english. I was completely stunned. When I asked him if he doesnt have anyone to contact, he was like - I have two sons and a daughter. I have called my sons and they have not answered any of my call. They work in some software company. And my daughter is in states. I myself tried calling on the numbers he has given and still no response. I have left them both texts and waited for almost 20mins. I really dont know whether they are really busy or what happened. In the first place I dont understand why the children couldnt book simple tickets online and save the trouble for their dad. Before even thinking about the gentleman any further, I just tried being in his shoes for a while. I felt tremors from the bottom of my heart. I just pray that I would not put my parents in such situations or I myself wouldnt face any such situation.
