Whats sickening to me, is when anyone excuses religion as if it were a person, when ever human beings do horrible things in the name of any belief/worshiping of any supernatural controlling and omnipotent power(s)... beliefs that promote the idea that a belief in some invisible being has greater value than human life... the kinds of beliefs that have *conquered the world* in large part, through submission, threats of punishment, proselytizing, prostration, persecution, terror, genocide and murder... beliefs invented and accepted by humans all over the world... beliefs that give *us* permissions denied to others because *we* believe the right way. As a Christian, Fischer is somewhat unique in that he openly recognizes the bible sanctions brutality. The only difference between Bryan Fischer and the Taliban is, Fischer wants the government to do the dirty work for him. I agree the massacre was indeed about intimidation -- intimidating others into submitting to a particular set of beliefs, laws.... which means it is most certainly about religion.
