Heads Up on the Gunny folks! The Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association (UVWUA) will be diverting an additional 100 cfs through the Gunnison Tunnel tomorrow morning, Friday, April 4th. Reclamation will increase releases from Crystal Dam by 200 cfs to cover this increase in diversion and to provide additional storage space in Blue Mesa Reservoir to accommodate the upcoming runoff. Releases from Crystal Dam shall be increased from 550 cfs to 750 cfs, tomorrow morning, April 4th at 8:00 am. After this change, the total diversion to the Gunnison Tunnel should be about 300 cfs, and flows in the Gunnison River through the Black Canyon should be between 450 cfs and 500 cfs.
