Health Tip: Just Do It! But sometimes, without advance planning, exercise gets pushed off to the side when life gets busy. This is often when we need it the most! Look ahead and actually schedule in a dedicated workout time and then plan around that. It also helps to have a plan ‘B’ in the event that your initial plan falls through due to urgent work or family situations. As you look to schedule exercise into your day, consider the different advantages of working out in the morning, afternoon, or evening. MORNING: People who exercise in the morning tend to be the most consistent. Get it done while the day is still yours! Go to bed a bit earlier, set out your workout clothes and set your alarm. AFTERNOON: If you have the option to exercise during your lunch hour, or even just take a short brisk walk around your building, take advantage! It doesn’t take away from either end of your day and energizes you for the rest of the day. EVENING: Exercise after work gives you a great way to burn off the stress of the day without the time-pressure of getting back to work. Just avoid working out too close to bed time since some people then have trouble falling asleep. Just Do It .....
