Health Update.....MY health because I know you all almost give a damn lol. I returned my loaner CPAP on Monday thinking I could go the three nights prior to Thursdays appointment without one. Big mistake. Monday night , actually Tuesday morning, was the worst I have experienced since starting on the machine. I woke up zombiefied. At one point, even after three coffees, I started to fill the sink to do the dishes then walked away distracted and forgot. Filled the sink and the kitchen. You would think that standing in water on the kitchen floor in my soaked socks mopping the floor would have woken me up. Not so much on the surface, but in my brain the light went on. Move up the appointment. Get back on the machine. Thankfully they had a cancellation for two oclock yesterday. Long story less long I took the appointment, and am now the owner of a brand new shiny silver $2500 CPAP. My union plan will pay the whole shot. Thank God and Woody Guthrie. Again, dont be jealous for what the union gives back. Get your own representation. The new machine has a different rhythm than the loaner so it will take a night or two to get used to it but I do feel a little more alert today than I did yesterday. Hopefully the flood situation has lowered from red to amber. (Interesting fact. the nights are recorded on a chip in the machine. I was showed my progress yesterday. With the machine I am having around 2 breathing incidents a night. And no snoring. The target is under 5, so I am doing very good. Before the machine I was having 19 apneas a night. No wonder zombiefied was my normal. No more.)
