Health tip for the day: Keep winter flab at bay! In order to keep body fat down, keep your fat intake under control by some small changes to food preparation:- • Trim the fat from cubed meat and chops before cooking • Choose skinless chicken portions, and use ingredients such as lemon juice, fresh herbs and garlic to add flavor to your chicken dishes • Choose low fat dairy products when cooking • Use a mix of fat free yoghurt and a little fruit chutney as a sauce for pork or chicken, instead of rich gravies • Use only a tiny bit of oil in a non-stick pan or dish if stir-frying or baking foods in the oven, instead of deep-frying
